RELATIONSHIP OF CONSUMPTION OF FE TABLET WITH ANEMIA OCCURRENCE FOR PREGNANT WOMEN IN PUSKESMAS PENGARON SUB DISTRICT OF PENGARON IN 2012

Based on the results of preliminary research on Puskesmas (Public Health Center) Pengaron sub district of Pengaron obtained information about the consumption of FE (blood-added) tablets for pregnant women has been good enough that is 90.07%. However, anemia occurrence for pregnant women is still high for 45.1%.The purpose of this study was to know the Relationship of consumption of Fe tablet with anemia occurrence for pregnant women in Puskesmas Pengaron sub district of Pengaron in 2012. The design of this research used observational analytic with cross sectional design. The research population was all pregnant women who visit Puskesmas Pengaron December 2011 amounted to 34 people. The sample in this research taken as an entire (total population) is amounted to 34 people. The Analysis of this research data used Fisher Exact test. Statistical test results obtained are not regularly drink Fe tablets, there were 11 (32.36%), a regularly 23 people (67.64%), who did not experience anemia amounted to 24 people (70.59%), who have anemia amounted to 10 people (29.41%). There is a significant relationship between giving Fe tablet on the occurrence of anemia in pregnant women (p = 0.005). There is a significant relationship between giving Fe tablet toward the occurrence of anemia of pregnant women in Puskesmas Pengaron sub-district of Pengaron 2012.
